Join our training events

As well as supporting you to organise your own training event, we offer a range of programmed training days and weekend events. You can attend these on your own or as part of a group. Many of these events are subsidised through our training fund.

Bursaries for leader training

There are a variety of different bursaries available for our training opportunities. Don’t forget to check locally as there may also be support from your county, depending on the training.

New leader training bursary

When you complete your leadership qualification, your county will give you a £25 voucher towards any Girlguiding training at ICANDO or at a regional activity centre (Hautbois and Lorne).

Adult leader training bursary

Counties can claim £50 per leader, for up to ten leaders, for county training weekends held at one of our national activity centres. And we have some leader training events supported by the bursary: for example, our XXXXXXX. These are reduced by £50.
