Girlguiding Activity Centres

A skill-building activity where participants use sucker arrows to shoot at targets. Games included!
  • Up to 12 people
  • 45 minute activity

Inspired by Robin Hood or Katniss from The Hunger Games? Have a go at hitting the target under the guidance of our qualified instructors. Test your accuracy and aim for the bullseye!

Sucker Archery is available as a 45 minute self-led activity for sleepover groups.

Sucker archery, where arrows are fitted with suction cups, is a great way to introduce archery to young members. There is no requirement for a qualified instructor but a staff member will brief the leader/group on:

  • How to safely fire the arrows at the targets.
  • That they must only fire the arrows in the direction of the targets.
  • Explain the different sections on the range: the waiting area (when not shotting, participants should remain in this area), shooting line and target area
  • Participants can only collect the arrows when instructed to do so.

Sucker Archery is also available as a 45 minute self-led activity at all activity centres for those aged 4+ (This is only available at ICANDO to sleepover groups – see their Risk Assessment here).

Information on Risk Assessments for all our activities can be found here.
