Volunteers are at the core of Girlguiding. Without them, our young members wouldn’t be able to learn new skills, play games, find out about the world around them and have amazing adventures.
Here at ICANDO, we’re lucky to have a brilliant bunch of volunteers who help us in our mission to offer unforgettable experiences to young members, leaders, schools, youth groups and the local community. However, we always need more volunteers – the fun, and work, never stops!
What do volunteers do?
You will be part of the core event team on the day of the event. From running activitiy sessions to supporting girls and ensuring the event runs smoothly.
Who can volunteer?
Everyone is welcome! Many volunteers at our member events are members themselves. Often these are leaders who enjoy the freedom of being immersed in an event without the responsibility of looking after a unit at the same time.
But you don’t have to be a leader, or even a member of Girlguiding. We welcome volunteers from the following, and all required training will be provided:
- Trefoil Guild
- Those aged 16+ who are working towards their Duke of Edinburgh award
